I started painting with watercolors about three years ago on a whim just to see if I could. It turned into a creative outlet I had not anticipated. Watercolor is a very unusal medium that does not act like any other. There is a very steep learning curve and I am still climbing. The following paintings are roughly arranged in the order that they were created.  The earlier paintings are more primative than the later ones.

Most of these paintings are "traditional" watercolor. "Traditional" meaning that only transparent watercolor paints are used and no white paint. Any white areas you see is the white of the paper.  A few of these paintings are done with mixed media where watercolors were combined with either pen and ink, oil paints or gesso.

Enjoy!
